Ty,

If # 3 cylinder was 60psi lower than the other cylinders, then you have a mechanical problem.  This could be from a valve,  piston ring, head gasket or any other mechanical part that controls the function of # 3 cylinder.

Your Dixie Cap will do nothing but help you.  It will not cause any computer or electrical problems what so ever.  Technicians (especially from dealerships) always find fault with things they do not understand.  The same Dixie Caps that were installed on vehicles over 20 years ago are still on the road operating flawlessly.  I hope this helps you.
