The automobile is quite similar to the human body. The very word “horsepower” is directly related to the anatomy of a living being. An engine, like the human body, needs to breathe, eat, digest, exhaust waste, cool itself and circulate vital fluids to all it’s organs. Oil in the engine is as vital as blood in the body. It must be circulated constantly, and in proper amounts to keep all the moving parts functioning properly. In the engine, like the human body, the nutrients must be consistently replenished in proper proportions, and all systems must function on a timely basis, or the engine will be subject to poor performance and possibly failure. The engine breathes through its air intake system. It eats by injecting fuel. The intake manifold is like the esophagus, feeding fuel and air to the combustion chamber, which is the stomach. Additional digestion takes place in the intestines or the catalytic converter. After digestion, the wastes are expelled through the exhaust system. All of this activity creates heat, which must be controlled within a proper temperature range, or over heating of the support systems will occur. Like the body contamination buildup or blockage in the engine or its support systems will dramatically shorten its life expectancy.

Fuel System

As over eating causes poor digestion and build up within the body, over-fueling causes poor performance and build up in an engine. Research has shown that most drive ability problems occur in a gasoline injection system are caused by the continuous build up of a carbon-like material on the intake valves and in the intake manifold. This material works like a sponge, constantly absorbing and releasing fuel at unspecified times, causing the engine speed to fluctuate and occasionally stall when at idle, and to be slow starting when the engine is cold.

Lubrication System

The oil pump and filter in the engine have the same function as the heart and liver in the body and the oil passages serve the same purposes as the arteries. As oil passes through the engine, varnish is deposited on all parts where oil flows. As varnish begins to build up on the oil pump screen and in the oil passages, it slowly reduces the amount of oil reaching vital parts of your engine. This condition increases friction, decreases performance, decreases fuel efficiency, and increases wear. When the oil passages or the oil pump screen becomes restricted or clogged, the prognosis is terminal.

Emissions System

A clogged catalytic converter is equivalent to intestinal blockage. This occurs when unburned hydrocarbons from rich fuel mixtures that occur during startup and driving while the engine is cold, begin to coat the catalyst and prevent exposure to oxygen, thereby rendering the catalytic converter useless. In addition to the pollution created by a fouled catalytic converter, it creates back pressure, which consumes horsepower and gas mileage. It is a scientific fact that every two pounds of increased back pressure in an exhaust system will take away eight percent of the available horsepower, and reduce fuel efficiency.

Maintaining the proper temperatures is as critical in an engine, as it is in the body. However, in time, antifreeze begins to polymerize and coat the water jackets of the engine, which insulates the metal and prevents the transfer of heat from the engine to the coolant. This results in the metal parts of an engine retaining too much heat and transferring more heat to the oil. Evidence of this can be seen in vehicles with over 50,000 miles by observing the amount of smoke coming from the oil fill cap. The result of this increase in heat is oil viscosity breakdown and excess wear on moving parts. In addition, cracked heads, blown head gaskets, or warped valve seats will eventually develop, and all of this occurse while the temperature gauge reads normal.

Heat breaks down the oil within the transmission and creates varnish. As the oil passes through the transmission, varnish is deposited on all parts, first on the metal parts, such as the valve body, which controls shifting. Second, varnish coats the nonmetal parts such as the internal seals. When the seals become coated with varnish, they dehydrate and shrink, causing a loss of internal pressure. This loss of pressure causes clutches to slip, and ultimately leads to transmission failure.

New technology prevents problems by removing the cause.

Government regulations and worldwide competition have caused many changes in the Auto Industry, during the past decade. To eliminate waste, comply with new environmental regulations, and become more competitive worldwide, automobiles became smaller, lighter weight and more efficient. With the addition of computerized ignitions systems, stainless exhaust, and longer lasting brakes and tires, vehicles today are more trouble-free than ever before. However, one problem remains. Today’s vehicles, although more trouble free when they are new, are less durable and essentially non adjustable and non-rebuildable. So the problem is, how do we make them last longer?

It is a well established fact in science, that virtually every mechanical problem that occurs in an automobile is caused by contamination. However, for the past one hundred years, for lack of an alternative, the industry has dealt with the effects rather than the cause.

The recognized benefits associated with regular oil changes and transmission services are well established, but more is needed. With today’s high revving engines and transmissions, simple fluid changes do not remove enough contamination to dramatically affect the useful life of the vehicle.

This varnish, which is equally deposited throughout the engine, is responsible for many performance related problems, as well as, mechanical failure.

The benefits of removing contamination have been known for years, but the technology to do it, without taking apart the engine or transmission, was nonexistent.

Enginewity has spent the past eight years developing a machine and several patented processes that eliminate the harmful contaminates in the engine, transmission, fuel system, cooling system and catalytic converter. These processes not only improve performance and reliability today, but can save thousands of dollars in fuel and repair costs in the future.
